Nate and Pat Holland grew up in beautiful Sandpoint, Idaho and started skiing at an early age at the local ski area, Schweitzer Mountain Resort. Quickly deciding they prefered one stick over two, the brothers switched to snowboarding. Nate and Pat quickly established themselves as premier local talent, and subsequently took their skills to a bigger arenas.

Nate moved on to Squaw Valley, 4 X-Games Gold Medals and a berth on the 2006 Olympic Team while Pat spent some seasons riding the infamous Jackson Hole backcountry before focusing his sites on Boardercross and joining his brother in training for the 2010 Olympics at Squaw Valley.

Both brothers are currently members of the US Snowboard Team.

For 2006 Olympian Nate Holland, there is only one speed: faster than you. A snowboardcross specialist, Nate defines the sports chaotic style going all-out in every race. Also a big-time motocross racer, he thrives on speed and takes his fast paced adrenaline packed lifestyle from the mountain to the dirt. Or as they say, a picture is worth 1000 words so:

RECENT NEWS
Nate became the second man since teammate Shaun Palmer (South Lake Tahoe, CA) to win an incredible three consecutive X Games gold medals in January and will be vying for an unprecedented 4th consecutive X Games Gold on January 24, 2009. Holland had to beat out some stiff competition to reclaim his X Games snowboardcross throne. Nate also finished second at an SBX World Cup in Sungwoo, Korea, the site of the 2009 FIS Snowboard World Championships, before returning to the states to win the last leg of the Jeep King of the Mountain tour. And, just when most thought the season was over, Holland took the top of the podium at the Canadian Snowboard Nationals in Cypress, BC, the site of the 2010 Olympic snowboarding events.

Nate knew he had to ride after watching Shawn Farmer and Damian Sanders launch the legendary “fingers” of Squaw Valley in the classic snowboarding movie “Critical Condition.”

Pat Holland started riding in his hometown, Sandpoint, ID, on Schweitzer Mountain Resort. After graduating high school he moved to Jackson Hole to ride the legendary backcountry and traveled to Torino in 2006 to watch his brother Nate compete in the Winter Olympics. During the race he decided that Vancouver in 2010 was in his future and he moved to Squaw Valley the next winter to pursue his dream.

RECENT NEWS
In his first season with U.S. Snowboarding, Holland put in the hard work and hours, and his dedication paid off by affording him his best season of competition yet. Holland’s commitment had him placing 12th at the Winter X Games, seventh at the Visa Snowboardcross Championship Series in his home state of Idaho, and it all came together for first major podium finish of his career when he placed third on the final stop of the Jeep King of the Mountain tour.

FIRST TRACKS
“At the age of 10 I switched over from skiing to snowboarding and have been riding ever since,” Holland said. After his high school graduation, Holland made the move from Idaho to Jackson Hole, WY and from there, he was hooked on the lifestyle of snowboarding.
